Working on this project lead to many first time experiences and challenges for me. First time working outside of the US, first time living in the Philippines, first time helping a fresh new studio create a level designer department, first time working for Ubisoft and first time leading a team of level designers from pre-production all the way through beta.
Other day to day duties:
Lead a team of level designers from pre-production throughout beta
Collaborated with sister and parent studios on design and implementation
Researched time period and location discovery
Collaborated with Art and Quest team to assure all aspects of gameplay are accounted for
Lead team in the research and planning of geography and rivers, placement of quest and secondary locations and network of roads
Creation of several locations from production to beta
Built network of roads and AI network
